- An increase to commercial parking
permits was approved at the January 22nd City Commission meeting.
Commercial parking permits are made
available as a convenience for working residents so that they may have
street parking without having to feed the meters. The permit allows for a
significant savings over meter parking for those who need to park at a
meter often. For example, a resident who purchases a monthly parking
permit, who works 40 hours per week, will receive almost a 50% savings
over feeding the meter 8 hours each day.
The new rates are as follows:
1 month commercial parking permit: $80 + $6
tax = $86.00
6 months commercial parking permit: $432 + $32.40 tax = $464.40
The new rates go into effect March 1, 2003.
