Letters of Appreciation

The Key West Police Department often receives letters from residents and businesses in the community regarding the work our officers do. What follows is a sampling of the input we receive.

Dear Chief Lee,

I have had occasion, several times in the past, to email you about problems...often with regard to bicycles and Key West High. I just want to let you know how much I appreciated your responses to my concerns and to support you in your current bicycle crackdown. As one who sees the roads of Key West daily, both on a bike and in a car, I must commend you.

It's been a long time since Key West has had a Police Chief who has gained the respect of EVERYONE on our island and you are a very welcome breath of fresh air. Thanks for the excellence you bring to your job. You have earned a fan in me.

Laurine Laxer
