Building permits are required prior to any work or construction of any kind, permanent or temporary, that has a value greater than $500.00 including materials and labor at the discretion of the building official. Building permits shall be required for any structural modifications regardless of the cost.

All permits applications may be submitted at The Building Department, 3140 Flagler, between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

All submittals for permits must be made in complete packages. Incomplete submittals shall be returned to the contractor/owner. Permit applications contain checkliststhat must be completed in their entirety in order for staff to process. Applications require the notarized signature of the property owner and contractor.

The permit application must contain a complete scope of work and the cost for such work. Although not required a signed contract may be supplied that would assist staff in determining the validity of the cost of construction.
