Department Services
The City of Key West Building Department consists of four divisions: Permitting, Plan Review, Historic Preservation, and Licensing. All divisions are committed to protecting the health, safety and welfare of our community. We continually strive to provide fair and equitable services to our customers through continued education and interpretation of Building Codes and Ordinances. The entire staff serves as representatives of the Department and provides a variety of information to the public pertaining to building procedures, licensing requirements, zoning issues, code complaints and historic preservation.
We are open for walk-in business and for telephone calls during the following hours: Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 4:30 pm.
