01-115 *(g) Authorizing a “Picnic In The Park” Labor Day Celebration at Bayview Park on Sunday, September 2, 2001, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Commissioner Curry)

 

01-126x(h) Urging the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) to place a traffic signal at the entrance to the Salt Ponds Development on South Roosevelt Boulevard in Key West.  (Mayor Weekley)

 

01-116 *(i) Approving the continued consultant employment of Steve M. Lewis for the City Clerk’s Records Retention Project in the total amount of $20,500.00.          (City Manager)

01-118 *(k) Authorizing a Federal Grant Application for the purchase of Hazmat Equipment in the amount of $148,962.00 (10% match).  (City Manager)

 

01-119 *(l) Authorizing a Grant from the State of Florida Department of Transportation in the amount of $43,614.00 for the purchase of two police motorcycles, six additional radar units and a motorcycle trailer; authorizing city budget amendments to activate the grant.  (City Manager)

 

01-120 *(m) Approving renewal for a period of one year for the City’s Maintenance contracts for Crane Operation, Electrical Services, Surveying, and Welding Services.        (City Manager)

01-121 *(n) Authorizing the City’s amendments for an extension of time to the Department of Community Affairs (DCA) for Housing Grant #99DB-4Z-11-54-02-H07.       (City Manager)

 

01-122 *(o) Authorizing the Mayor and City Manager to execute the necessary documents to close the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development Section 108 Loan for Roosevelt Gardens.  (City Manager)

 

01-123 *(p) Approving the attached License Agreement between the City and the Key West Housing Authority for the use of a portion of Fort Street.  (City Manager)

 

01-127           x(q) Approving the attached Jackson Square Parking Agreement between Monroe County and the City of Key West.  (City Manager)

 

01-124 *(r) Approving settlement in the case of Fink v. City of Key West in the amount of $400,000.00.  (City Attorney)

 

01-125 *(s) Supporting the Monroe County Board of County Commissioners’ position in opposition to the demolition of downstairs enclosures in homes.                    (Mayor Weekley)

 

01-128   (t) Approving the attached Memorandum of Agreement between the Florida Department of Community Affairs (DCA) and the City of Key West.               (City  Manager)

 

Denied   (u) Approving continuation of the Bicycle Registration Ordinance.  (City Manager)

 

Withdrawn   (v) Authorizing the City Manager, through the Licensing Office, to accept applications for the issuance of additional Entertainment Vehicle Permits for a total of Thirty.  ( Commissioner Anthony)

Tabled             (a) An Ordinance of the City of Key West, Florida, amending Chapter 1 entitled

6-05-01                “General Provisions” by amending Section 1.27 to eliminate annual fees for easements granted by the City to Property Owners; providing for severability; providing for repeal of inconsistent provisions; providing for an effective date.  (City Manager)
