The IT team mission is to provide our customers access to electronic information in a timely manner. We will accomplish this through teamwork, high employee morale, use of new technologies, custom programming, and dissemination of expertise in partnership with our customers to enhance data operations.
The IT Department provides computer system support services to City Departments and activities in numerous ways:
Provides local administration and maintenance of the City-wide computer network.
Provides mainframe IBM AS/400 support to City Departments utilizing the HTE, Inc. municipal support package.
Manages a centralized information systems equipment acquisition and utilization program.
Supports users by means of educational sessions in conjunction with the Training Department and direct personal support by Department staff.
Develops and maintains the website for the City of Key West, www.keywestcity.com.
Develops and maintains an Intranet for City Associates.
Maintains the website for Key West Seaport, www.keywestseaport.com.
