General FAQ's

City Mooring Field is located in the Seaplane Basin on north side of the island of Key West. Fleming Key, Trumbo Point and Sigsbee Park bound this basin. The northern boundary is composed of flats stretching out into the Back Country and the Gulf of Mexico.

There are 81 moorings in City Mooring Field. Each mooring consists of a 10-foot long helical screw anchor, a nylon down line ending in a six-foot section of chain and a white nun buoy. Vessels attaching to these moorings are issued a 20-foot pennant that attaches to the shackle on the buoy and to the vesselís mooring line. Moorings are available by the day or long term on a monthly basis.

Use of the mooring field is restricted to vessels 40 feet long or less. All vessels using the City Mooring Field must use City provided pump-out, which is included in the mooring fee. The Mooring Field Dockmaster will inspect all vessels for compliance to safety and Marine Sanitation Device requirements.
