WOW! What a success our first clean up (Section 1) was on April 7th, in Bahama Village.  We sincerely appreciate all the help and support provided by the neighbors in the community.  The Clean Key West Committee will be back again April 21st to continue the effort in fulfilling the Mayor’s goal to be the “Cleanest Little City in America”.

This clean up brought out many volunteers.  Mayor Weekley and City Manager Julio Avael assisted Greg Sullivan of Waste Management with the pick-up of garbage and debris. City Commissioner Merili McCoy, Brian Carmen, John Olinzock, Annalise Mannix-Lachner, Tom Strohs, Mindy Vinson, and Jose (City Street Sweeper), as well as several home owners in the community, all assisted in the collection of the garbage

Blue Heaven supplied the volunteers with coffee, juice and banana bread to start the day. Thank you to the Hatch family for the goodies, they were great!!
