4/17/2000 - The Operations Director of T.A.M.F.I.R.E., Chris Stark, trained members of the Key West Fire Department in Confined Space and Vertical Rescue techniques. The training was held in the classroom at Central Station, and the practical site was graciously provided City Electric System at the Stock Island, Ralph Garcia Steam Plant.

Our department now has an ongoing training and practice schedule of training in these fields. Training takes place at the Hawk Missile site at the end of Government Road. We have also obtained the necessary equipment to make effective rescues during these types of incidents.
