Reading Ordinances entitled “Licenses” by amending Section 91.02 to conform exemptions to
September 6, 2000 state law; By amending Section 91.125 to re-number it as Section 91.09 and to update its regulations governing Special Event Licensing; By repealing Section 91.11; By amending Section 91.13 concerning fee proration; By amending Section 91.14 to provide for additional late penalty; By repealing Section 91.15; By amending Section 91.16 to provide for penalty for failure to transfer a license; By repealing Section 91.18; By amending Section 91.19 to clarify license suspension and revocation; By repealing Section 91.195; By repealing Section 91.20; Providing for severability; Providing for repeal of inconsistent provisions; Providing for an effective date. 00-16 (a) An Ordinance of the City of Key West, Florida, amending Chapter 76 of the Code of Ordinances entitled “Streets and Sidewalks” by adding Section 76.07 to provide regulations for newsrack registration; Providing for a registration period, a registration label, location requirements, fees, and penalty; Providing for a 120-day stay on registration of new newsracks; Providing for severability; Providing for repeal of inconsistent provisions; Providing for an effective date. Third (b) An Ordinance of the City of Key West, Florida, amending Chapter 55 of the Code of
Reading Ordinances entitled “Sound Control” by repealing existing provisions and creating
September 5, 2000 new provisions regulating unreasonable noise; Adding Section 55.01 to provide for definitions; Adding Section 55.02 to prohibit unreasonable noise and disturbing noise; Adding Section 55.03 to provide for exceptions; Adding Section 55.04 to regulate motor vehicle noise emissions; Adding Section 55.05 pertaining to animal noise; Adding Section 55.06 related to Special Event Permits; Adding Section 55.07 to provide for liability, penalty, and alternative remedy; Providing for severability; Providing for repeal of inconsistent provisions; Providing for an effective date.
