Citywide clean up  

CITYWIDE CLEAN-UP DAY SET FOR SATURDAY, MAY 21st The Clean Key West Task Force has announced that the next official Citywide Clean-Up Day will be held on Saturday, May 21st starting at 8 a.m.. Many individuals and several local groups, including the Florida Keys Outreach Coalition are expected to participate. The Task Force would like to invite anyone who would like to help to meet at the Pavilion at Bayview Park at 8 a.m. on May 21st. Helpers are encouraged to bring their own gloves, brooms, and dustpans while the city and Waste Management will provide garbage bags and arrange for pickup. Bottled water will be made available as refreshment for volunteers. The Clean Key West Task Force is also looking for new members to help bolster its ranks. Anyone wishing to help or contribute ideas to help keep Key West clean is welcome to join. The group meets regularly on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at 1:30 p.m..
